Seasons of the Apple Tree

For the past couple of weeks, we have been learning about all things apples!  Students brought a few apples to school with them last week and we have been exploring America’s favorite fruit.  We’d like to share the cute little flap book that we made yesterday.

First, students choose an apple from each season and a cover page in any of the apple colors:  red, yellow, and green.

Then they cut the pieces and assembled them into a flap book being very careful to put the smallest apple (cover) on top and the largest (fall) on the bottom. They also cut the sentence cards out, read each, and glued it to the appropriate apple.

After that, they illustrated each page with the appropriate apple tree.

This is the final product!  If you’re interested in this, click here to pick it up at my TpT store.
